Obituaries

Hugh Roger Irish, 73, of Cordele passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010 at his residence.  He was born in Island Falls, ME and was the son of the late William Everett Irish and Helen Goodall Irish.  He was a self-employed truck driver.  Mr. Irish is survived by his wife, Lena Marie Irish of Cordele;  three sons, Craig S. Irish and Michael Irish, both of Cordele, and  William H. Irish, of Kittery, ME; a brother, Leon Irish of Maine; five grandchildren, John Irish, Nicole Irish, Timothy Irish, Brittany McEntee and Marissa Irish; and two great-granddaughters, Donna Leigh Bittner and Haley Irish.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Coney.  No services are planned for Mr. Irish.
