Obituaries

Funeral services for Gladys Laverne Bartlett of Cordele will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2010 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Service.  Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery.  The family will greet friends Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Mrs. Bartlett, 91, passed away Thursday at Crisp Regional Hospital.  Born in Wilcox County, she was the daughter of the late Avner and Alvie Fountain Faircloth. She was retired from Crisp Regional Hospital where she had worked for many years as an LPN and was an active member of Northern Heights Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.  She is survived by her son, Ronnie H. Lupo of Warwick and a number of nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Bartlett was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Marvin Bartlett; brothers, Elvin Faircloth, James Henry Faircloth, Horace "Buddy" Willard Faircloth, Milton Faircloth, Olon Faircloth and sisters, Beatric Cason, Nellie Childs, Willie Warren, Louise Sholar, Dorothy Pass, and Mary Lois Faircloth.
