Obituaries

Funeral services for Loudeal Martin Holder of Cordele will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Lake Blackshear Baptist Church.  The family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Rainey Family Funeral Service. Ms. Holder, 71,  passed away Sunday at her residence.  A life-long resident of Crisp County, she was the daughter of the late Theron Alva, Sr. and Eula Mae McDaniel Martin.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John N. Holder.  She was a Stock Clerk (RET) with Best Manufacturing Company and an active member of Lake Blackshear Baptist Church.  She was also a volunteer with the American Cancer Society.  Mrs. Holder is survived by her children and their spouses, Fay  and Ricky Wood of Moultrie,  Wendy and Jesse James of Perry, Mike Holder, and daughter-in-law, Rhoda Holder, both of Cordele; a brother and his wife, Theron and Dianne Martin of Cordele;  two sisters and their husbands, Evelyn M. and C.L. Souther and Norma Lee M. and James Vaughn, all of Cordele; seven grandchildren, Michael Holder, Aaron Holder and his fiancé, Ashley Calhoun, Hannah Holder, Adam Wood, Whitney Wood, Stephen James and Tiffany James; and two great-gandchildren, Lexie Holder and Lainie Saliba.  She is also survived by four sisters-in-law and their husbands, Florine and Ernest Massey of Jacksonville, FL, Lois and Hudson Hall of Cordele, Kay and Jay Taunton of Elijay, and Ronnie Ann Holder; one brother-in-law, Charles Holder and his wife, Berta, of Cordele; and a number of nieces and nephews.
